Here’s what you can expect from this episode:
I have a prediction about where social media is headed, and I think it's going to make a lot of real estate agents rethink how they're creating content.
We've gotten really good at creating content that looks like content. The perfect hooks, beautiful graphics, transitions, and videos that look like they've been professionally produced. But somewhere along the way, I think we've started making social media a lot harder than it needs to be. And if you're a real estate agent who's already juggling clients, showings, and everything else that comes with running your business, that pressure to constantly create content can feel like a lot.
In today's episode, I'm sharing a shift I've been noticing on social media and why I think it could completely change the way we approach content creation and personal branding. I’m breaking down why so many agents feel like their content needs to look a certain way, what actually makes people want to follow you and feel connected to your brand, and how to find that balance between having a solid content strategy and giving yourself the freedom to show up naturally. I'm also sharing a few of my own recent experiences that got me thinking about this shift and how you can start applying it to your own content.
Because at the end of the day, the best content strategy is one you can actually sustain. You have stories, experiences, opinions, and conversations happening in your business every single day that people would genuinely find interesting. And I want you to feel more confident sharing those things without feeling like every piece of content needs to be a major production. So if you're ready to rethink how you're showing up online, take some of that pressure off yourself, and create content that feels more natural and true to you, hit play and let's get into it.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
Why the next big shift in social media could change how real estate agents approach content creation and personal branding
How overly produced content is putting unnecessary pressure on real estate agents to show up a certain way
Why confidence, personality, and your unique perspective matter more than having perfectly polished content
How to create more natural, authentic content without overthinking every hook, script, or video
Finding the right balance between spontaneous content and having a solid strategy that works for you
Simple ways to experiment with content, spark creativity, and show up more naturally without making everything a major production

More about Above Asking:
Most real estate podcasts tell you what to post—the trends, the templates, the strategies everyone swears by. Above Asking is different. This is a perspective-driven show for the next-gen real estate agent who wants to build a brand that stands out by learning how to think, not just what to do.
If you're showing up, posting consistently, doing all the things, but you're starting to wonder if any of this is actually going to work, you're in the right place. Everyone's giving you the what. Nobody's teaching you the how. So you're out here with no real strategy behind any of it, and it's way harder than it looked.
