Here’s what you can expect from this episode:
What if the content rules you’ve been trying so hard to follow are actually the thing making your content feel less like you?
I used to be the person teaching agents these rules. I built strategies around them, put them into trainings, and genuinely believed they were what you needed to create content that worked. But as content has evolved, so has the way I think about showing up online. And honestly, my content has never felt or worked better since I started giving myself permission to break some of those rules.
In this episode, I’m getting into the rules I no longer follow so rigidly, from sticking to a perfectly planned content calendar and forcing a CTA into every post to always needing the perfect hook, chasing trending audio, playing it safe with your opinions, and only sharing the polished highlight reel. Because while frameworks can give you structure, following every rule perfectly can start to box you in and take away the creativity, personality, and point of view that actually makes people connect with you.
This isn’t about throwing your entire content strategy out the window. It’s about knowing when the rules are helping you and when they’re stopping you from trusting yourself. So if you’re ready to stop overthinking every post, give yourself a little more freedom, and create content that actually feels like you, hit play and let’s get into it.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
How following a rigid content calendar can turn your content into another box to check instead of something creative and intentional
What happens when you stop forcing a CTA into every post and give your content room to simply build trust
Why you don’t need the perfect hook, polished outfit, or scripted idea every time you show up online
How sharing your real opinions helps you stop playing it safe and connect with the people who actually get you
What to focus on instead of constantly chasing trending audio that doesn’t feel aligned with your personal brand
Why sharing the struggles and flops alongside the wins can create deeper connection, trust, and credibility with your audience

More about Above Asking:
Most real estate podcasts tell you what to post—the trends, the templates, the strategies everyone swears by. Above Asking is different. This is a perspective-driven show for the next-gen real estate agent who wants to build a brand that stands out by learning how to think, not just what to do.
If you're showing up, posting consistently, doing all the things, but you're starting to wonder if any of this is actually going to work, you're in the right place. Everyone's giving you the what. Nobody's teaching you the how. So you're out here with no real strategy behind any of it, and it's way harder than it looked.
